Marc Jacobs Makeup Collection in the Works

Marc Jacobs knows the ladies. He is a much loved designer and stylista in his own right who hangs out with the rich and famous and starred in an advertising campaign for NARS, not to mention the fact he is a man who can wear a skirt better than me. Coming soon to a Sephora near you, his very own makeup line. Marc Jacobs debut cosmetics collection had his first meeting for the project last week.

I see makeup, fragrance — everything, really — as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner — it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.

I’m rather excited to see what he comes up with…
