Hey there! So I hope you enjoyed my previous post on my wedding day about my wedding dress and where I got it. If not, please check it out wedding dress

Post 2, is all about the photographer. Christopher Munton. Actually, he isn’t a photographer, think of him as an artist.

I personally can’t stand cheesy wedding photos one sees these days. And sometimes it is the photographers that just are inexperienced. If you’re planning a wedding, I suggest you pay for a good photographer. Photos are what you end up with to remember the day forever. Not the shoes, not your perfume, or the amount of people you invited. So if you’re going to settle for a cheap photographer with a cliche portfolio, then that is what you’ll end up with…

The venue I chose sent me a list of suggested suppliers of photographers, musicians, makeup artists etc. Scrolling through the lists, Christopher’s work definitely stood out! It wasn’t normal wedding photos. It was art!

My parents, me and Nicholas.

Nick’s parents.

My mom giving me a gift in the day. Tavita my niece was with us.

My cousins son looking for his name in the seating list.

My nephew with my sister.

Please have a look at the rest of the photos on Christopher’s website in the link below and tell me what you think.

Please read up on Christopher and his work in this link below.

So if you’re planning your own wedding and you’re in need of the best photographer, please contact Emily and or Christopher. You will not be disappointed! I must say, he is also such a great person! You feel totally comfortable with him. He captures the most wonderful moments without being all up in your face. Chilled and relaxed is how I felt. I feel that the mood of the photographer can set the mood of the bride as he is there while she is getting ready. So if he can relax you, you’ll be way more calm walking into the chapel. So this is a thank you to Christopher. Thank you for bring a brilliant artist.

Good afternoon Dahlings.

So on the 5th of October 2013, I got married to my babsie. Ever since, I’ve been terribly busy, but I’ve always wanted to write up a post about the amazing service providers that made the day unforgettable. Post 1 will be about the dress.

To plan a wedding is easy if you know what you want and you’re not influenced by too many different opinions. Trust what you feel is right. I started with a mental list of exactly what I DIDN’T want.
For example: no poofy dress, no veil covering my face as I walked in, no updo hairstyle, no bridesmaids, no flower girls, no main table, no buffet, no garter throwing, no dj, no blingaling, no sparkly invites and so the list goes on. Now you look at that and you’re probably thinking that I had a terribly boring wedding. Haha. Boy are you mistaken.

Let’s start off with my dress. I knew I wanted a lace dress, mermaid shape. I knew I wanted a mantilla and that I wanted to look elegant. In my mind I had a vision. We then booked an appointment at PRONOVIAS in Sandton. Honestly, the most exquisite and beautiful wedding dress store ever. If you haven’t heard of PRONOVIAS, I suggest you have a look at their site. Dresses from designers like Elie Saab, Manuel Mota and Atelier. We were welcomed by the amazing staff and our consultant sat us down and showed us all the dresses on the computer. I then had to choose my favorites. And from those favorites, I had to choose 6 dresses which she would then get ready for me to try on.
I tried on the 6 dresses, but by the 2nd dress I knew I found the one. It’s name was SILABA, by Manuel Mota.

I also got my headpiece, shoes and mantilla from PRONOVIAS. I’m terribly thankful for their amazing service, because I was losing weight before the wedding and they altered it perfectly with no complaints. (I didn’t lose weight for the wedding, it was a health issue I was facing.)

They had to take down so much of the dress. Bear in mind that this dress arrived 7 months after the appointment I made in January. It gets made in Spain and then sent over. If you’re planning on going to PRONOVIAS, make sure you make your appointment 6 months before your wedding. Minimum!

Our dear consultant was Lindiwe. What a lovely lady. So cute, tiny, friendly but the biggest sweetheart ever.

This was on the actual wedding day. 🙂

Prepping the mantilla.

My mother and best friend.
My mother, aunt and sister also got their dresses from PRONOVIAS. Of course my mom spoiled me with lots of cocktail dresses for my honeymoon. I’m so blessed.

What I also love about their store is that they have sales where you can get selected cocktail dresses for R1000,00. These were dresses that normally costed over R5000,00 and more. So make sure to just pop in for a cocktail dress, they may have a sale on the go.

Do I have a product review for you!

Have you ever wondered what celebrities use on their faces and thought you’d never be as lucky to use it on yourself? Well, thanks to MELROSE ARCH, my sister NATALIE, and METROPOLITAN COSMETICS I now too have my own celebrity beauty product.

Apply an even layer to clean skin
Leave in for 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes and remove with water
Use as a full mask or spot treatment
Use as often as needed

You see, the lovely lady at METROPOLITAN COSMETICS explained that when you apply the mud, it’s black but when it dries it will dry become gray. However, it will remain black on all the parts of your skin that has imperfections. So all your spots, blackheads and enlarged pores will stay black, because the product is extracting all the impurities out of your skin. How interesting is that? So… I tried it and as mentioned it did as promised.
See all the black dots on the picture below?

Hey there sexy people!

Are you feeling sexy? Are ya? If not, I have three products that will definitely make you feel like a million bucks without having to spend a million.

Firstly, to feel amazing, you need beautiful hair. As you may or may not know, I’m not someone who easily trusts a hairdresser or hair salon. Last year I went for a “treatment” which in hindsight made no difference. But today I finally became a fan of a salon and a hairstylist. Thank goodness! If you live in Pretoria, please please visit THE SALON at Woodlands Mall.

why do I love it?: 1) It’s an amazing salon, it’s modern, classy, clean and the people are fantasticly friendly and inviting. 2) It sells and uses PAUL MITCHELL products. We all know that it’s of high quality, not the cheapest, but it’s definitely going to give you the best looking locks. 3) PAUL MITCHELL does not test on animals! So if this high end salon and product believes in protecting fur babies, why can’t others follow suit? 4) They don’t force you to buy products when paying.

I went for a treatment, cut, blow wave which costed me R700,00. I also bought a ‘Seal & Shine thermal protection and conditioner spray. (As seen in the picture below). Its purpose is to protect your hair from the heat of your hair dryer or straightner. That cost R230,00. So all together it came to R930,00. That may seem expensive, but I needed a treatment and I have very long hair. Plus, I bought the spray. It’s so worth it. They will be seeing me again and I hope YOU too!

Secondly, in order to get to that hair salon, you need to have smooth sexy feet. A few days ago, I visited THE BEAUTY FACTORY. This is another store you should shop at! Its products are made in SA and it’s also a cruelty free brand. The VÀO FOOT THERAPY exfoliating heel scrub and balm have given me soft, smooth feet.
why do I love it?: 1) It smells amazing. 2) Quick and easy to use. 3) Comes with a foot shaped foot pumice. 4) Will literally give you silky soft feet in under 5 minutes.

This was a free gift, because I had purchased other products over R350,00. However, I will keep buying this foot scrub in the future once it’s finished.

Thirdly, I’m sure you’ve already read my post on the amazing BB CREAM. If not, please do! WHAT IS BB CREAM For R180,00 you can have amazing looking skin! Believe me, I tried it today and I looooved it. The cream is white at first, but it blends in with your own skin tone. It literally changes color as you rub it into your skin.

why I love it?: 1) It’s truly a miracle cream. If you have good skin or if you’re not a big wearer of foundation, this product is for you! But, if you into makeup, this can act as an amazing primer. 2) It’s not that expensive. Ok, it’s only 25ml, but it’s not something you need to apply a lot of. 3) It can help with imperfections, scars, marks, age spots and more. 4) It comes in 3 ‘colors’. From light (1) to dark (3).

Hope you enjoyed the product review..

Hiya Poutlings!

Those of you that follow us on Facebook may have seen my little blurb post about Prince Harry’s naked photos that got leaked onto the internet.

the naked chef, oops, I mean the NAKED PRINCE.

To which a royal source had confirmed the pictures were infact of Prince Harry and his pasty white bottom… in more news that would make all the posh Brits drop their tea cups…. (I am far from being on the posh ones, but I did drop a tea cup this morning 😦 )

Well, it was only a matter of time until the media started to jump on the bandwagon, and now magazines worldwide are clamoring to do get him to do it again and photograph the bits no one got to see. Playgirl has taken the cake this time though!

Everyone pretty much knows royal protocol would avoid this type of exposure, excuse the pun, at all cost, but Playgirl are offering him this, for lack of a better word, opportunity, just because they can… and plus, score on publicity for them too, right? I wasn’t entirely sure Playgirl was an actual publication until now.

Playgirl is ready to offer  Harry $1 US million for the chance to photograph his junk, but they tell E! that it’s obviously a pie-in-the-sky dream; the Playgirl publisher Vincent Stevens said:

“There’s no way in the world that he would ever consider this, but you’re talking about numbers in the six figures right off the bat.”

Ooh. Six figures. To Royalty… AS IF! Not even the slightest chance… He probably spent more than that on his Vegas bar tab in which got him into this mess in the first place.

His poor grand-ma-ma, she must be ever so shocked, horrified and mortified that the magazines with PLAY (Playboy, Playgirl) in the title are so obsessed with anything related to royalty like that downside to Dutchess Kate’s family, her cousin, Katrina. I would love to see him trying to explain himself to the Queen, because her tits must be in on giagantic tangle. Poor old dear. Silly Harry.

Oh well, at least he had fun that night! 😛
