Please Hold Onto Your Knickers, Mr Grey Will See You Now…

fifty-shades-greyAs much as I hate to admit, I have in fact read the 50 Shades of Grey series finally, yes, I know like all my lovely friends told me “about time” and all that nonsense, although I did it I suppose out of peer pressure? I really struggled to read the books and was simply bored with the language. I know a lot of people, men and women alike were so into it and it was the best thing since sliced bread. I actually don’t have a problem with poor literature as long as it gets people to stop watching TV and start to do some reading. ANYWAY, that aside…. I raised an eyebrow however when I saw all the same people frantically sharing the official trailer which has been released for next year February 14th, Valentines Day.

I must say that the way it is portrayed in the trailer makes me slightly more interested in it than the books and I will eventually watch the movie but I promise you I won’t be running to the cinema on Valentines Day to watch this. I can think of better things to do, like wash my hair or sleep.

But, even if you are one of those people who will be running to the cinema please people calm down, pull yourself together because at the end of the day its only a movie of a very poorly written story so please don’t get your hopes up that it will be any better. If you want good stories there are plenty out there but I do not necessarily think this is the one we should all be going googly eyed over.

Jennifer Aniston in a Whole New Light

Hiya Poutlings!

Jennifer Aniston strips down to her bra and knickers in the trailer for her upcoming film “We’re the Millers”…. didn’t we already see her bare backside in “The Break Up?”… so much for that girl next door image she generally always portrays in films.

jennifer aniston

This role shows Jennifer in a new light as she swears her way through the scenes and does a strip tease! Anyway, on an unrelated note: I can’t look at Jennifer Aniston without thinking of her as Rachel, but for being 44 years of age, she has a BANGING body. Wow. Props to her.

Without further ado, here is the trailer..

…but in case you can’t watch it – Jennifer plays a stripper who is hired along with 2 kids to help with a drug delivery of marijuana over the US/Mexico border. The trailer also features Jason Sudeikis, right at home with his comedic timing and raunchy laughs, Emma Roberts isn’t someone who I think of as a comedy star, but she doesn’t have enough screen time in the trailer to convince you otherwise.

This looks like it couldn’t be an okay film to watch… I’ll definitely watch it and be sure to let you know once it’s out.

Gweneth Paltrow covers Harpers Bazaar May 2013

Hiya Poutlingsgwyneth-paltrow-harper-bazaar-may2013-1

Gweneth Paltrow has appeared on the cover of Harpers Bazaar magazine for the May 2013 issue. She reveals her fears for getting older and her secrets of staying beautiful throughout her life.

this has to be the only image I'm not that fond of from the shoot, it appears "plastic" to me... what about you?

this has to be the only image I’m not that fond of from the shoot, it appears “plastic” to me… what about you?

Wearing a Balenciaga look, Gweneth looks cheerful on the cover. Caught on the lenses by Daniel Jackson and beautified by makeup artist/stylist Julia von Boehm, she reveals all her deepest secrets of life after turning 40, which happened last year…. can you believe it??

“You know, I use organic products, but I get laser. It’s what makes life interesting, finding the balance between cigarettes and tofu. I’ve probably tried everything… I would be scared to go under the knife, but you know, talk to me when I’m fifty. I’ll try anything. Except I won’t do Botox again, because I looked crazy.”

Everything is not as fatal as it may appear. She is rational about getting older and asks herself different questions about the possibility of getting into more films, having another child, moving back to the USA. However, she also had some fears but she has learnt from them in the past.

“I don’t hold on to fear as much as I used to, because I’ve learned a lot about genuinely not caring what strangers think about me. It’s very liberating. It’s very empowering, and I’ve learned a lot of that from Jay – Shawn Carter – Z, because his approach to life is very internal. It’s a very good lesson to learn.”

She was reminiscent about her married life, she and her husband, Chris Martin are becoming really close since their marriage in 2003.

“We are growing into very similar people. It’s cool, it’s good. It’s not always easy though!”

She has been quite active in her work life, appearing in movies such as Thanks for Sharing, The Avengers and the coming movie, Iron Man 3, while she is also rumoured to be in another unnamed movie due in 2014.

Oscar Nominee Face Swaps

Hiya Poutlings!

I don’t know about you, but I feel as though I’ve been bombarded for the better part of three months now with Oscar-mania, and it is getting to the point where it’s hard to distinguish one Oscar contender from the other. To keep from defaulting to exhaused apathy when it comes to the 85th Annual Academy Awards, we feel a fresh perspective on this year’s Oscar nominees in order… for which a good old fashioned face swap is just the ticket.

I do apologise if these re-imaginings make for a nightmare fodder. Sometimes looking at something in a new light isn’t exactly pretty.

Daniel Radcliffe for “Out” Magazine

Hiyaa Poutlings ❤

dan1

As one of the most famous British rising stars of the 2000’s, Daniel Radcliffe has appeared on the cover of OUT magazine March 2013 where he talked about his past and future roles. We all know him from his leading role in the Harry Potter series, a brilliant epic that is not only for kids. Meanwhile, Daniel confessed that he is moving on from the role of being an epic hero.dan2

“I’ve always said that it’s a long process, and in a way it may be a lifelong one. It’s about proving to people that I’m in this for the long haul, and that I wasn’t just looking to get as famous as I could for as long as I could and ride that out. I love almost every aspect of this industry and I want to be in it, and if I could drop dead on a film set at 80, that’s how I’d want to go.”

dan4He also talks about his recent works, in the Kill Your Darlings, where he played a young Allen Ginsberg. A story is based on a long hidden murder case that brought Ginsberg, Kack Kerouac, and William Burroughs together at Columbia University. As seen by the movie director, Krokidas – the movie evolves about the single case that transforms the people’s lives. For Krokidas, the glowing reviews bursting with theories which circle around Radcliffe’s sexual orientation, and his ability to act beyond the Wizard movie are “a validation of his instinc to pick Radcliffe over the usual list of matinee boys.” Here is what the actor has to say himself about playing Ginzberg.

“You never see a gay actor getting asked what it’s like to play straight — to my knowledge, at least, there is no difference in how heterosexual and homosexual people fall in love.”

Apart from that Daniel also starred as the Russian satrist Mikhail Bulgakov in a British TV miniseries, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, which portrays him as a mature independent artist.
