Good Friday Morning !
So on the 29th of July 2014 was my Neapolitan Mastiff Nina’s first birthday and I just had to organise her a cake and prezzies.
Here is the recipe:
1 Large apple or two smaller ones
1,5 cups rice flour/gluten-free
1/4 cup corn flake crumbs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarb of soda
1/2 cup plain full cream yogurt
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons honey
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tub low-fat cream cheese
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons plain full cream yogurt
2-3 tablespoons rice flour/almond flour
Preheat oven to 200 deg C
Core apple then grate it, set aside.
Sieve the dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a separate bowl mix wet ingredients, add the cheese and apple.
Then add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Fold together and pour into prepared small cake tin or cupcake tin.
Bake for about 30 min until golden brown.
Mix all the ingredients together until it’s a smooth consistency.
I added edible colour and glitter. (optional)
I used a zip lock bag to do the piping. Just spoon the frosting into the bag and cut a tiny hole in the corner and let the decorating begin.
So give it a try! Nina also received some gifts and of course shared her cake with Donatella! Let me know what you think and comment below! Also remember that a healthy dog diet should consist of good quality pellets with a higher percentage of protein. Cooking food or left overs is not good for your pet. Dogs can’t digest cooked bones, it’s not good for them. This cake is a treat that my dogs will be getting on their birthdays. Just as we have treats on special occasions. Some of us more than most. lol.
Remember that your pets should be treated with respect and love, but as the Dog whisperer puts it… remember that: first it’s an animal, then a species, then breed, then a pet.
Lots of Blessings

Hey there gorgeous.
Recently I went to a dear friends wedding. So I thought I would show you show you how I did my makeup.
So many makeup artists say you should have one focal point on your face. And generally they’re right. But there is one look where you could pull off strong eyes and strong lips. And that’s when using Red lips.
This is how I do it…
First, it’s all about contouring and highlighting and of course blending it all properly.
Then I add a shimmery highlighting eyeshadow in the corner of my inner eyes and on the brow bone. After that I apply black eyeliner and set it with black eyeshadow on my lower lash line.
I then added a darker shade of eyeshadow on my outer eyelid and blending it to the crease. Giving it a slightly smokey effect. After which I add eyeliner with a tapered brush and an eyeliner paint pot. Of course I shape my brows. Brows are the frame of the face, the face is the picture. So I always shape my brows. As thick, as thin as I want.
I then finished off with falsies and the famous Rubywoo MAC red lipstick!!!
In a nutshell, I used KRYOLAN foundations, INGLOT eyeshadows and of course Rubywoo lipstick.
I love wearing this look when going out. It’s strong, yet feminine. 💋
Have a fabYOUlous day!!!

Hey gorgeous poutlings,
Hope all of our ladies had a fantabulous Womens Day yesterday!
I spent my day in bed with hot chocolate watching my new favourite series “Once Upon a Time”.
What is that you ask?
Well I didn’t know about it at first – not being much of a TV fanatic – until my sister brought me the DVD and told me that if I didn’t watch it, she’d cut my eyeballs out – totally kidding!
She did, however, tell me it was the cutest series she’d ever seen and although I only watched up until Episode 12, I’m hooked. Now I sit here at work fantasizing about the show and what on earth is going to happen next. It’s like my addiction to chocolate and it’s totally unavoidable.
The first Season (and only season so far), starts off with The Evil Queen of the fairytale-world interrupting Snow White and Prince Charming’s wedding and announces that she will put a curse on every character so that she is the only one with a happy ending.
The Evil Queen then goes about putting a curse on the fairytale-world, sending them to the real world (our world) and they have no idea that they are fairytale characters. Then, when the Evil Queen’s adopted son Henry gets handed a fairytale book by his teacher Mary Margaret (who happens to be Snow White in the fairytale world), he believes the fact that they are all characters from the book and that his birth mother, troubled 28 year old Emma Stone from Boston, is the saviour that will send them all back to where they belong.
In each episode we are told a story of what has happened to each of the characters and you figure out something new of the characters you grew up knowing and loving, like; Why is Rumplestilskin so devious? Why is Red Riding Hood suddenly so slutty? Why does the Evil Queen hate Snow White so much? And who is this Emma Stone anyway?
Do yourself a favour and make sure you get the DVD soon!
Have a lovely weekend poutlings…
