Brush Lust

Since its soon the season to be jolly I am adding these Burst studio beauties to my Dear Santa wish list for the upcoming festive season.

15 Piece set1 (SYN2)

The newest addition to the Burst Studio collection is a 15 piece synthetic brush set in a nifty container. With the Burst Studio promise of having the synthetic hair being as soft as a feather but usable for effective blending. Better tools for makeup application always result in a better looking face. The fact that these 15 brushes retail together for R1,427 is an absolute steal!! If the Burst Studio foundation stipple brush is anything to go by I am quite sure that these are a worthy investment to ANYONE’S makeup bag or pro artists kit…15 Piece Set (SYN2)

There is a foundation buffing brush, flat foundation brush, large powder brush, slanted contouring/blusher brush, concealer brush, large and medium dome eyeshadow brushes, angled eyeshadow brush, soft and dome blending brushes, angled eyebrow defining brush, pencil brush, small square lipstick brush, liquid liner brush and a mascara wand. How perfect. I am totally in love and I haven’t tried them yet.

The set is available here for R1,427. Check out Colour Burst on Facebook and Twitter too!

Items I can’t live without: Revlon MaXfactor False lash effect mascara

Hello poutlings!

Hope you are all winding down to the weekend.

I just wanna pop in quickly, and tell you all about a little lovely addition I have in my makeup kit.

Meet the wonderful Revlon Maxfactor False lash effect mascara.

Now, it’s not new on the market, in fact it was launched in 2008. But I do keep going back to buy some for myself.

Now, the tube is oddly shaped, or ergo dynamic, the brush is not the normal tiny bristled one, it’s purple and thick and rubberey short bristles, but why do i love this product? Since I’ve started using it in 2008, I’ve never had a tube clump up on me, it goes on smoothly, so when you apply more than 1 layer you don’t have to worry about spiders legs lashes.

Or maybe I’m just lucky, but I really won’t go anywhere without this, and yes, waterproof on both black and brown is always a winner. As Fi said, those brides cry a lot, so a waterproof mascara is a good thing to have around.

Have a pouty perfect weekend readers!
