What Will Life be Like for the Royal Offspring?

Hiya Poutlings

Royal watchers are ravenous for news about the forthcoming progeny of Prince William and wife, Kate, so loads of speculations have happened all over the net – have taken a look at what life will be like for the soon-to-be third in line to the British throne.

  • He or she will be welcomed with tolling bells, cannons and bonfires. I’m serious. You probably won’t understand if you’re not British. It’s something we do.
  • His or her last name will be same as William’s. Which is Mountbatten-Windsor, for those who don’t know.
  • If she’s a girl, her name will probably include “Diana”. But it most likely will not be her first name, just one of many, the Atlantic Wire points out that Europe’s largest betting firm is already taking bets.
  • Kate will probably breastfeed the little one. That might seem obious, but up until Princess Diana, British royals typically used wet nurses.
  • There  may (or may not) be a nanny. But just one, and any royal siblings may share. (A far cry from the two to four nannies per child like some American celebrities use.) However sources have said that Kate plans to be a full-time mum and doesn’t want a nanny, an idea that initially shocked Prince Charles. She may, however have a maternity nurse for the first few weeks.
  • Speaking of royal siblings, Kate may be having twins. Medical experts say hyperemesis gravidarum, the servere form of morning sickness that caused Kate to be hospitalised is linked to having twins.
  • Kate wants her child to lead as “normal” a life as possible. Even so, that “normal” life will likely include an approximate R16,000,000 wardrobe alone, according to an expert who has dressed royals in other countries. But another expert notes that those clothes will probably be “sensible”, and that royal babies are typically brought up with “few parties, not too many toys and very dull meals”.

The Naughty Middleton & Her Crown Jewels

Hiya Poutlings!

Pippa Middleton and her sister, Dutchess Kate

The Middleton family is just oozing with style. Dutchess Katherine is the epitome of classy chic, sister Pippa always look stylish and trend appropriate and now their distant cousin, has emerged on the scene with her own unique and risque aesthtic. My dear Pouters, meet KATRINA DARLING.

The “fun gene” in the Middleton family didn’t all just go to Pippa! Some of it went to Katrina Darling who is unique and risque and who also happens to be a distant cousin – but related to Kate nonetheless. All you have to do is take one look at their hair to know they’re related. THE HAIR ON THEIR HEAD! God. You’re so gross.

Dirty dancing … Katrina Darling performs her raunchy show…

Katrina and Kate are technically second cousins once removed (Kate’s grandfather is the brother of Katrina’s grandmother), but still you can see some resemblance from their shiny luxouris locks to their wide set eyes and big smile. Kate and Katrina have many an enviable feature there is no wonder why Katrina is gaining some fame.

While you’re here, take a look at some of Katrina’s pin up modeling….

It was revealed a few months before the Royal Wedding that the soon-to-be Dutchess was related to an ex-banker and soon-to-be full time burleque dancer there was quite an outrage. Fancy British people everywhere dropped their tea cups and their mouths to the floor. Then Hugh Heffner knew exactly what to do – let the dust settle, wait about a year and then give Katrina a chance to publically shake what her mama gave her in an eight page spread in Playboy September 2012. That is my version of events anyway, and I’m sticking to it.

When things get a bit boring around the palace, which I’d imagine as quite often, Kate Middleton can skip over to her cousin’s house to learn some burlesque moves to impress William. (Or Harry…. yes, I still believe Kate will have a ginger heir.)

Apparently, there isn’t any frontal nudity in the photoshoot, except for one topless shot, so it seems like Katrina’s keeping it tasteful. Who knows if the Palace requested she do so or not, but there is one thing we can be certain of, these Middleton girls have style and PANACHE!

Kate has nailed conservative-chic and Katrina’s got bawdy elegance down to a T.

How wonderfully stylish their Christmases must be!

Style Watch : Princess Margaret

Heya Poutlings!

Anoter royal post from me.

Don’t read this in that tone of voice, rather grab a cup of tea and join me on my post into some royal history!

I often find myself looking at pictures from the past Diamond Jubilee, mainly of Dutchess Kate and what she was wearing but something tweaked in my mind that someone was missing, the most sassy Royal of them all, is not with us anymore, Princess Margaret.

For those that do not know, Princess Margaret was the Queen’s younger sister…

Their father King George VI described Elizabeth as his “pride” and Margaret as his “joy”. Princess Margaret has been famously rebellious over the years and despite her perpetually terrible image in the press – she was seen as a royal waste of money, she remains a style icon to this day, inspiring Vivenne Westwood and Burberry’s amazing SS06.

As young girls, The Queen and Princess Margaret were close, neither girls were heirs to throne. It wasn’t until she was six years old, in 1936, that King Edward abdicated his position so that he could marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

After that, everything changed for the princesses.

Elizabeth was suddenly the next in line, and her public duties become of the upmost importance. She had to represent honour, discipline and grace. Margaret, however, went to a different route and became a well known seductive socialite.

NEW LOOK FOR NUNS INCLUDES SOME CASHMERE

With a tiny 18-inch waist, a fierce witty intelligence, and penchant for sophisticated finery, she was well known within social circles as being fun and flirty. She was a “must have” party guest, and thrived off the thrill of meeting new people. I doubt highly that she was ever  “WOO GIRL“.

PRINCESS MARGARET ON HER CARRIBBEAN TOUR

Her passionate personality often got her into trouble! In 1953 she was firmly in love with a divorced equerry and sought to marry him. The soon-to-be Queen asked her to wait a year, as the press storm surrounding this controversy was blowing negativity strongly in her direction, instead, she gave up her affair and married photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones. Her many affairs and lovers soon disintergrated her relationship with her husband and they were divorced in 1978.

However, the progessive attitude she had towards everything, from travel to 1960’s fashion, left a distinctive mark upon society! Whether it was positive or negative, everyone that met her had a strong opinion of her.

Will you channel her style to get in touch with your inner royal? She’s been renound over the years for wearing sleveless shirts and waisted skirts, satin dresses, statement jewellery and that all important royal blue.

RIP PRINCESS MARGARET

21 August 1930 – 9 February 2002.
