INOAR Absolut Daymoist CLR Shampoo & Conditioner

For a long time I have been hearing (and well, reading)  about this Brazilian haircare brand that everyone has fallen in love with. When I was given the opportunity to give their products a try ,it had me excited. Number one, I don’t frequent haircare salons that often and yes, like most ladies, I love to have beautiful and perfect hair.

Only problem is, my hair has been a little out of sorts lately and in desperate need of a moisture boost. And these two gems could not have come at a better time.

20150606_155422INOAR claims that these products will intensely condition and recover you hair, while leaving it with added glow and elasticity.

They are packaged in 250ml yellow bottles with a twist cap (which makes life easier by the way, especially when you are in the shower) and the fragrance of both the shampoo and conditioner makes me think of having my hair washed in a salon.

The products itself contains Cornstarch, Beet Extract and Daymoist CLTRM. I do not really have an idea what all of those ingredients each do seperately, but combined they basically maintain the hair strand to increase bounce and elasticity, preserve colour and shine, protects from discoloration and basically prepares your hair for heat styling.

Did it work for me? Yes it did. After the second wash it was as if my hair had received an instant moisture boost, it was noticeably smoother, and my hair was extremely shiny. One would think that because it is a moisturising combo, that my hair would be ‘heavy’, but it did not weigh my hair down at all or leave it greasy whatsoever. My hair was also manageable and easy to style. Not only did this product recover my damaged hair, but it also protects my hair from heat styling after each use.

Will I repurchase it again? Yes, definitely.

There are three products in this range, Shampoo (R220), Conditioner (R220) and the Mask (350). I have only tried the Shampoo and Conditioner, but are dying to get my hands on the mask.

Love,

Leandra

In Awe with INOAR Argan Oil

Everyone is talking about argan oil. Argan oil this, argan oil that. For all we know might be the cure for many ailments that plague us as humankind – can someone please ask some scientists to look at that and get back to us? We all know that argan oil benefits our hair and turns bad hair days into good ones. I am here to give you an example.

INOAR

I have been using argan oil from INOAR.INOAR Argan-oil-60ml_FINAL

Why INOAR, you may ask? Well, INOAR was one of the revolutionary hair care brands that decided that argan oil is a big yes to healing damaged hair and incorporated it as an ingredient in many of their products. The name of the brand was after the founders name INOcentia and ARgan oil – so they haven’t just jumped on the argan oil bandwagon. The brand believes in the ingredient so much they actually named their product after an ingredient.

I’ve been using the INOAR argan oil on my hair for the past couple of months. Even way back when I still had my easihairpro pink extensions in…

INOAR Argan Oil

My method for using this oil? Quite simple actually. Once I have cleaned my hair, I lightly dry it off with a hairdryer. I don’t “blow dry” per say, but then with a drop of INOAR Argan oil, the size of a 20c coin in my hands, I rub them together and work this through my hair. Since I have a naturally oily scalp I only work it through the mid section of my hair to the tips, once most of the oil has been absorbed into my hair, I lightly work my fingers through the top of my head. I don’t think it would be a good idea for me and my scalp to rub some oil on it unless if I want to look like a greasy mess!  The result? It makes my hair have a natural shine and keeps my hair on point all day long. Completely refreshing!

On the odd occasion where I haven’t made use of my INOAR Argan Oil post drying, I always end up with one of those proverbial bad hair days where giant hair clips or Invisibobbles are necessary in order for hair-sanity to be restored.

If you are interested in trying this oil sent from the hair-gods, I urge you to do it. You will only know the difference when you experience it for yourself. INOAR is available at selected salons. They have an online store launching soon too!

INOAR on the web, on Facebook and Twitter @INOAR_SA

Available from your nearest INOAR stocking salon, 7ml for R63 or 60ml for R434.

Let’s Talk About Argan Oil

Oils are a buzz word in the beauty world recently. The most popular oil for the past 12 months, and it seems like its not going away anytime in the future has to be Argan Oil. Everyone claims that their Argan Oil is the best but how much do you actually know about Argan Oil or are we just falling prey to clever marketing tricks?  Here are some facts on the so called liquid gold.

What is Argan Oil?

Otherwise known as Moroccan oil is a product of the Moroccan Argan tree. It is extracted from the kernels of the Argan tree to be used as a moisturiser, conditioner and softener for skin and hair. It is frequently referred to by beauty experts as liquid gold for the simple and effective qualities that are beneficial to an overall healthy state of the skin, hair, scalp and nails.

What is Argan Oil Used For?

Often it is used as a hair treatment. It is extremely beneficial for hair and scalp and is commonly used as a leave-in conditioner however it can be present in shampoos and conditioners.

Argan Oil In Shampoos

Often a key ingredient as its ability to restore softness, strength and shine to hair particularly for anyone who suffers from dry, brittle or damaged hair.

Argan Oil as Leave-In Conditioner

Pure argan oil can be used as it is an amazingly effective, chemical free leave-in conditioner which can prolong and intensify the benefits of the Argan oil on the hair. It makes an ideal conditioning agent since it makes hair soft, sleek with added shine.

Argan Oil as a Styling Agent

When styling hair in a hurry Argan oil can be a saving grace. It gives hair an immediate gloss to it and is a great way to tame frizzy hair into submission.

Argan Oil as a Hair Mask

Although the key with argan oil is that a little goes a long way, an overnight treatment is a great way to maximize the effects of argan oil on hair. Using a larger quantity of argan oil as a hair mask means that as many of nutrients as possible will be absorbed. This is a great treatment to use the night before a special event when you want your hair to be extra smooth, sleek and voluminous.

What does Argan Oil Contain?

Large quantities of Vitamin E for healthy hair growth which contain antioxidants, which help boost cells and encourage them to produce healthy hair. Argan oil is non-irritating to the skin and actually reverses much of the damage done by artifical chemicals and treatments on hair. It is often used in its pure form for healthy, soft and shiny hair.

How long does Argan Oil Take To Work?

Immediate benefits can also be seen in people who use Argan oil for their hair. It is an excellent agent for taming frizz and promoting shine and gloss as well as softer more manageable hair. Long term it can soften broken and damaged hair.

Argan Oil can be used either on its own in its pure form or as ingredient in a hair care product. On its own it is expensive as the oil is a rare ingredient. Within other hair care products it is also more costly than items that do not contain argan oil but it is incredibly effective for damaged hair, although even the healthiest of hair can always benefit from a little extra nutrients and magic that Argan oil has to offer.
