A few weeks ago I was fortunately invited to attend the launch of Cipria Milano in Cape Town at the exquisite Nobu at the One and Only.
How amazing is this invite? Colours for days!
Cipria Milano was a brand I was not familiar with – and so I listened very intently to the details. It’s refreshing to come across a fresh approach to beauty, strength and confidence at a valuable price. All of which the brand lives up to.With now being freshly available on South African shores, Cipria Milano is fresh from Italy – synonymous with Italian standards of quality and most of all a great choice of hair care, fragrances, a wonderful selection of makeup and cosmetics that are innovative and of a very high quality but most importantly – the affordability is the biggest draw. The brand is proudly family owned and run with strong values and also prides itself in being diverse as well as cruelty free.
A unofficial slogan i took from the launch is… high end cosmetics do not need to be high priced. That is the message that they are trying to get across.
Some goodies we were given to try are the following and as you can see the prices are so affordable – anyone can look good!
1. All in one intensive hair mask – R129
2. Eyeshadow solo – R99.00
3. Keratin reconstruction vials – R49.00
4. Lipstick – R79.99
5. Mascara – R119.00
In time we will feature the individual reviews of these products!
Be sure to check out CIPRIA MILANO on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

It feels like only a few weeks ago I was browsing through the countless amounts of Fall/Winter 2013 campaigns but time has passed far too quickly this year and bam we are being bombarded left, right and centre with 2014 campaigns!
Gucci has model Andrea Diaconu, who stands out for her poise, for the new Resort 2014 campaigns, the resort campaign is true elegance with golden skin reflective of the beautiful backdrop of the reddish-gold sunset. The pictures have a distinctive feel that they could be quite vintage, but they also bring some modern feeling to them too. I am still not loving slicked back hairstyles, especially with such feminine designs but it seems like they are here to stay for a while.
Everything about the clothing pieces to the pair of gold ankle straps and the metallic clutch in silver translate to luxury and high style, enforcing Gucci is a true Italian brand.
Do you love it too?
Eastern Culture has always attracted attention because of its luxurious charm and irresistible appeal. Think velvet, and silk with rich embellishment and embroidery – sounds like something royal, something beautiful, doesn’t it?
These things and even more were borrowed from the Eastern civilizations. No wonder, if in a past life I happened to live in medieval Europe with its overwhelming poverty, I would crave a nice outfit to stand out. You would too. Can you imagine what it feels like to look just like everyone else in a boring floor length linen gown? Although it is different in our time, and you don’t have to travel a million miles over the ocean in a boat for a couple of weeks to get your paws on a fashionable piece, western designers still to this day look for inspiration in the oriental world. A good example of this recently has been Italian brand, Blumarine, who has proved it with its dark enchanting Fall 2013 campaign.
This campaign is an international wonder, our very own home grown South African model, along with a Swedish photographer and Italian designer came together to create the magical looks of a Blumarine woman.
Candice sporting dark brunette hair, matte red lips create an image of femme fatale which, is alluring! Her true beauty will always look stunning regardless of the hair colour. The Blumarine clothing is so edgy it makes it impossible to look away.
Camilla Akrans, the photography genius, did an amazing job and managed to picture the Blumarine brand in a beautiful, alluring, sophisticated and romantic!
Do you agree?
