Product Review – Sultans Gold Shampoo & Conditioner

Sultans Gold Shampoo & Conditioner

The Shampoo and Conditioner both have a very light smell, which is absolutely beautiful and lasts on your hair. They contain Moroccan Argan oil which is a bountiful source of Vitamin E and an antioxidant which has anti-aging and anti-wrinkle properties.SULTANS GOLD

The Argan oil which is the main ingredient in these products is absolutely lovely and moisturising and suitable improving hydration and feeding the hair and skin. The bottles are fairly small in size, but with only using a little bit of product for a big result my shampoo and conditioner lasted me over 2 months worth of washes (anyone who knows the length of my hair will be amazed!), with a little extra conditioner left over. Every wash renewed the moisture back into my hair.20130807_190939

Unlike more cream-like substances, the shampoo feels more like a gel in your hand until the water hits it and it effortlessly glides through your hair, once rinsed, your hair feels amazing and smells fresh. Since using the Shampoo and Conditioner my hair has been less dry at the tips (damn you winter and visiting Johannesburg’s dry winter) and feels incredibly healthy. Due to the excessive moisturising properties of the shampoo my forever oily scalp has insisted I wash my hair daily however I can imagine for people who suffer from dry hair and/or dry scalp this product must work like a dream! The tips of my hair feel renewed and my hair shines all day.

For use in oily hair I would suggest only using this product in the drier, winter months as it adds so much moisture into the hair and can very easily start to appear looking greasy. I would suggest anyone to try this product that suffers from dry hair or scalp/dandruff problems for its amazing moisturising properties. Amazing shampoo for R225 is a real steal.

Sultans Gold products are sulphate free, which is great for anyone that colours their hair or struggles from hair fall it also is suitable for anyone who has had a Brazilian blow-wave or similar treatments and doesn’t want to fork out the expensive salon priced products. Sultans Gold additionally is paraben free, which is suitable for everyone. Parabens are used not only in Shampoos and Conditioners but widely in a lot of cosmetics which prolong the shelf life of said cosmetics resulting in minimal bacterial growth which in theory is good, however in practice it is linked to increased levels in Estrogen which can result in premature puberty in teenagers and adding to hair and scalp problems by deteriorating the hair follicles by damaging the hair cuticle which makes the hair dull and brittle.

cruelty free

Lastly the products are vegetarian as they contain NO animal ingredients and are cruelty free. What is not to love about this shampoo and conditioner?

Product Review ~ L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

Hello pretty poutlings!

So, today I want to tell you about a new product I received in my November Rubybox, which I absolutely fell in love with, and I can’t wait to get myself a full size tube of this product.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

This product sells for R300 for 150ml

Oh wonder of wonders! This absolutely takes the cake alongside my beloved Elizabeth Arden Products.

Every five seconds, one of these tubes are sold around the world,  and it took top honours in the 2011 Luxury Hands & Feet Category at the Fairlady Best of Beauty Awards! This must be a statement on how fantastic this product is.

Philosophy:

“A socially responsible company, L’Occitane is committed to limiting the impact of its actions on the environment, while improving the wellbeing of both customers and employees. Since the beginning they have supported local traditional production methods and suppliers. In the early 1980′s, L’Occitane set up a co-development program with the women of Burkina Faso: “Thanks to the incredible success of our shea butter range, which is known and loved throughout the world, the number of women producing shea butter for L’Occitane has gone from an initial group of less than 100 to over 12,000 today!” says founder Olivier Baussan.”

Upon finding the tube in my Rubybox, I was at first a bit sceptical about it, I mean, such simple packaging, no frills, no fuss.

But boy oh boy was I in for a surprise. This Shea Butter formula  is super moisturising and is absorbed easily into the skin. It keeps the most hardworking hands super soft and doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy at all.

Best of all, L’Occitane does not test their products on animals. So go on ladies, treat yourself to a super luxurious hand cream, and yes, they have other wonderful products too.

So go ahead, visit their Facebook page and tell them Marlie sent you.

if you would like to visit them, they have stores:

  Pretoria – Menlyn Mall – Shop G4

Johannesburg – Hyde Park Shopping Center, Shop 54 Middle Mall

  – Melrose Arch, Shop SL05

Cape Town – Shop 6277, Victoria Wharf

Go on, you know you want to!

Have a pouty perfect day!
