Is Chivalry Officially Dead

Hi poutlings ❤

Trying to catch up on some blogging while I’m up in Egoli. If you live in South Africa, you are likely to have seen this on the news but I feel I need to add my two cents…It’s SAD.

It’s Zimbabwe news, so don’t worry South Africans, this is unlikely to happen to you. Anyway, back to the story: A naked boyfriend ran off into the bushveld  while a lion mauled to death the girlfriend with whom he’d just been having sex.  A friend told local news in Zimbabwe,

“The two were romping when the incident occurred. The lion came from behind and roared.”

Sharai Mawera had her neck and stomach torn apart by the lion, while her unnamed fisherman beau ran off while still wearing a condom— supposedly to get help. This is the second time a human has been mauled by a lion in the area in the past week.

Let that be a lesson about outdoor lovemaking: don’t do it with dangerous predators around or with men who’ll leave you behind for breakfast.

Pianist’s music fails to put tortoises in the mood

Hiya Poutlings

London Zoo

There is a lot of heavy news at the moment, so here is something light hearted to hopefully make you smile. The London Zoo has pulled out all the stops to get their Galapagos tortoises, a specieis under threat of extinction, in the mood to mate. They hoped that hiring French pianist, Richard Clyderman, to play his album “Romantique” would sexually arouse the creatures…. no such luck.

Through “Ballade pour Adeline” and “Chariots of Fire” the tortoises “didn’t appear particulary impressed,” according to the Associated Press. They did appear to get slightly excited, however when the zookeeper brought them carrots. Clayderman tried not to take the tough crowd too personally, acknowledging the possibility that tortoises are not big fans of “new romantic” music. Maybe they’d prefer something a bit more edgy to get it on to? Some Barry White? Or maybe some Black Eyed Peas “my Humps”. It happens. Galapagos tortoises live for over 150 years. That’s a long time to be with one mate. Here’s to hpping they’ll feel some external pressure like the rest of us and be able to get something going on today for Valentine’s Day.
