Introducing Juliette Armand

Cancel any plastic surgery indefinitely before you try Juliette Armand. In a nutshell, Juliette Armand is a Greek company that was founded by two Greek chemists in the 1990’s that decided to enter the wide world of cosmeticsJuliette Armand by developing both new and unique formulas. If you know any Greeks in your life or even have watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you will know that everything the Greeks do, they do with the upmost pride. As the Juliette Armand brand is very well known in Greece, across the EU and internationally it is a pleasure to know that they are available in South Africa. Juliette Armand are a bespoke company as they boast quality ingredients, professional research and deliver on their promises.

The brand, Juliette Armand has 3 product lines.

1. Skin Boosters – the Anti-Surgery System. Innovative range designed to prolong the need for plastic surgery.

2. Elements – for Face & Body. The largest line of products under the Juliette Armand name. Catering for any concern with the face and/or body which all contain strong and active ingredients.

3. Sun Film – Sun Protection and Tanning. Get a beautiful glow nauturally but while being protected from the harmful UVA & UVB rays.

Juliette Armand’s mission is quite unique.

“Time does not stop, however it may be slowed down. This is exactly what our mission is, to make time elapse on the skin at a lower rate.”

Don’t shop their products by skin type but by skin mood. This is a unique concept which makes sense if you think about it. Do you really need to define what ‘skin type’ you fall into for life when there are various other items to take into account when choosing the correct products for you as they need to suit the season of life you’re in. If you too are as intrigued about this brand as I am, then watch this space for a review of their Skin Booster OPSIS THERAPY – Eye Brightening Gel which I have had the pleasure to try.

NSFW: Plastic Surgery Themed Editorial In Noi.se Magazine

[NB: NSFW stands for NOT SAFE FOR WORK.  I’m serious; close the browser if you do not want to get fired. Thank you. This public service announcement is brought to you from Pout Perfection’s stay employed innitiative]

Hiya Poutlings!plastic-surgery1

Of all the self-referential ways the fashion world comments on itself, plastic surgery-themed editorials are simply one of the best. That is because most efforts at self-reference, in all contexts fashion or not, come off with a hint of self-indulgent and a dash of un-self-critical, while it’s pretty f*cking impossible for a decent plastic surgery themed editorial to do that.

The imagery of plastic surgey is so grotesque that it makes you think “Oh, that’s AWFUL!” even if you still want to look like the model therein. These photos, for lack of a better word, “expose” the price of beauty, if you can call it that.

It also just happens to appeal to my inner Gothic sensibilities (I was a terrible Goth, I could never shut up) because once you grown up listening to Marilyn Manson you will never not enjoy a photo that combines the glamorous with the macabre.

Roll up, roll up! Come and marvel at our illegal clinic. Blunt sharps and filthy gloves. The surgeon (butcher?) chainsmokes throughout the operation. But that’s ok, cause so does the patient. Come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab! I see you shiver with anticipation?…

Additionally, it echoes a Suicidegirls photoset published during the site’s heyday, which was humorous and compelling enough to still be stuck in my mind, seven years later. Related, that makes me feel old.

Barbie Girls, Barbie Girls Everywhere

Heya Pouters!

So a few days ago I posted about the freakish Valeria Lukyanova, the real-life barbie doll who had undergone several surgeries to look like Barbie (Read it here:  https://poutperfection.com/2012/06/15/valeria-lukyanova-real-living-barbie-doll/) and thought it was quite strange that somebody would do that, but it turns out Valeria isn’t the only girl obsessed with looking “perfectly plastic”. Turns out quite a lot of girls are undergoing surgery or doing dramatic makeovers to look like dolls nowadays.

So my dear Pouters, meet the plastics:

Olga Oleynik

Dominika Elsandio (I’m not sure if this is also Olga Oleynik or not as they look similar)

Dakota Rose

Wang Jiayun

Charlotte Hothman

Alodia Gosiengfiao

Lin Ke Tong

Venus Palermo

Анжелика Кенова

Heidi Montag

Jenny Lee

Princess Nudy

Do you think these girls have been surgically enhanced? Some have obviously been photoshopped while others look like they naturally have big Puss-in-Boots-style eyes and the doll-like appearance and makeup has helped them enhanced their features. So, do you girls think the doll look is a yay or a nay?

I’d have to admit when it’s done in a subtle manner with makeup like Michelle Phan does it, it looks AH-MA-ZING… but not when you’ve spent millions on plastic surgery only to end up looking like a Donatella Versace (*cough* Jenny Lee  *cough*  Heidi Montag *cough*).

Anyway my darling pouters, have a lovely hump day further!

All I Want For Christmas is a Nip Here and a Tuck There…

Hiya Poutlings! 😉

We all want to look good all the time and never get old that’s why many turn to plastic surgery as a the last resort. However, not all corrective surgeries turn out the way we wanted. Many end up feeling less confident after than before the surgery. Going under the knife is by no means pleasant, anyone who has ever had any type of surgery will agree however celebrities seem to take it for granted. If you are a celebrity and haven’t had anything done, even if you look stunning, the chances are that you will have some work done in the near future. However, many people including celebrities get addicted of a little nip and a little tuck once in a while so they can’t wait to have another plastic surgery done. We’re not going to talk about the moral side of it but you may consider thinking about that aspect of this issue after seeing how some celebrities look after having some work done on them.

Lets have a look at some obvious platic surgery victims…

Many argue whether Cristina Aguilera had a boob job, but after seeing this photo in which we can clearly see a scar under her armpit I think there’s no doubt about it.   She wasn’t very good at hiding it either.

Tara Reid has a tummy almost as bad as Courtney Love’s and you would think that Tara just gave birth. However, she chose a wrong plastic surgeon that completely ruined her abs. She admits that she’s doesn’t like her abs and that she’s ashamed of the way her stomach looks.

Now back to Courtney Love; at least Courtney has an excuse for looking like this, she gave birth. But it seems that her wrinkly abs are a result of a liposuction gone wrong. Don’t you think?

Joan Rivers is an expert at criticizing but I bet she hasn’t got a mirror in her house. I cannot stand her, but I think I can say without prejudice that her disastrous plastic face would scare anyone. I think that her tactic is that she digresses people from her appearance by criticizing other badly dressed celebrities. But I’m not sure it’s working.

Donatella Versace a fashion icon is a living proof how a plastic surgery victim can ruin her outer shell. It seem that once you’ve been caught in the plastic surgery circle there’s no getting out, not even if you have the best taste in the world for fashion.

Even if you are one of the most beautiful women on the planet it doesn’t mean that you won’t lack confidence. Take Vivica A. Fox as an example, she had breast implants and now it looks like one of them is leaking. (I  didn’t attack the picture, some random on the web did by the way. I would at least do it with a pretty font! 😉 )

If you decide to have a boob job don’t make the same mistake as Victoria Beckham. This Posh Spice decided to go bigger and now she’s all over the place. That is in no way attractive.

But the women are not the only ones who can get addicted of plastic surgery. Kenny Rodgers got it bad. This country singer just didn’t know when enough is enough. Hasn’t anyone told him that less is more? (Sandylashxx, in this case agree with me! bwahaha!)

The queen of plastic surgery managed to look young for a long time. But no she looks as old as the rest of her generation. In any case it seem that not even plastic surgery can slow time as much as we would wish it to do so.

Jocelyn Wildenstein looks almost as bad as the woman who injected cooking oil into her face. She wanted to keep her husband by her side so she decided to improve her looks but managed to do quite the opposite, in my opinion, can you image waking up next to that every morning? haha.

So, what do YOU think? Is it worth it?

Don’t Always Believe What You See!

Hiya Poutlings!

In Hollywood, nothing is ever as it seems. We really do expect a certain amount of glitz and glamour from the celebrities prancing around on the catwalk and people seem to get sucked into the illusion. Tales of plastic versus natural are a constantly in the media and even some of the most resistant celebrities fall prey to the look of perfection, determined by the top plastic surgeons.

Poor old Paris, she rose to fame through a sex video leak, reality shows, and just being famous because she is famous. She has gone through numerous transformations, some noticable, others not so. While its obvious she over dyes her hair to get her signature blonde bombshell look, what isn’t well known is that she was born with brown eyes.

Photographs from her childhood up to her early teens show her looking more natural with brown eyes, seen in the picture of her holding a tea cup chihuaha. However, photographs of her now she always seems to be wearing blue contacts.

Her eyes are not the only things that have undergone a change. Recent photographs of her show her lips looking heavily and I would imagine painfully, collagen-injected, and of course there are plenty of rumours that she had added breast implants to her appearance… who cares about breast implants??

Mags, seen in a split screen image before and after photo retouching (above right) proves that diet and exercise are more than what is needed to keep a youthful appearance. Wearing a lace covered hat Madonna seems to have also had work on her cheeks.

A close up of Madonna (bottom right) shows what her skin looks like with the effects of aging. Seen leaving the gym (bottom left), shows how difficult it is for her to maintain her appearance, with veins showing on her arms and her arms looking very muscular lets us all assume that she devotes hours at the gym to keep her physique and a youthful exterior.

Stacey Ferguson has been in the spot light since she was a child star. This split shot (above left) shows her with curly hair before her Hollywood transformation began. Her nose appears wider and her eye shape is distinctly different. Dressed in a cheerleading uniform, a young Fergie had completely different features considering the difference in her appearance. The media suspects that she has got an eye lift as well as breast implants… WHO CARES ABOUT THE BREAST IMPLANTS? ITS HOLLYWOOD!!

Despite her terrible music, no one can deny her beautiful looks and even with those it looks like she’s had some help from a knife. Years ago, Beyonce was wearing a gold outfit on stage with girl band, Destiny’s Child, and she had a natural bustline. However a more recent picture of Beyonce wearing a floor length gold dress suggests she’s had implantsWHO THE FECK CARES?? But anyway, they give her already curvy figure – even more curves!!

I do in a way feel sorry for these women, in the star light. They have immense pressure on them day in and day out to look their best and its no wonder they generally go to such extreme measures to ensure that they in fact do look gorgeous… Sometimes too much? Yes.

It doesn’t help women who read/watch the media and constantly compare themselves to these starlets – a lot of womens self esteem rests upon what their favourite star looks like/how much weight they’ve lost/what plastic surgery they’ve had and unfortunately that is not reality for the real women. By all means – LOOK AFTER YOURSELF but do not weigh your self esteem on these people, they are as Sandylashxx has previously mentioned there are inspirations versus aspirations!

love yourself! missfitz orders! 😉
